But I would go beyond this - They either dumbed down or copied the flawed Superheroes formula, e.g. The Boys, Umbrella Academy, etc...

Both the film and movie it’s based on seem to be cleverly satirical of the more commonplace fare, actually. It was the blue guy’s nude scenes that bugged me, for one.
