Discuss A Serious Man

I recently rewatched this and the only thing I can get from it as an underlying message is that they are making a humorous case in support of the idea of chaos.

Everywhere you look in the film is chaos with little to no reason evident for the things that happen.

It seems like they're doing that, but they also drill in the idea the actions have consequences. As soon as Larry changes the grade he gets a bad news call from his doctor.

Yes, actions "often" have consequences, hahaha.

“Just look at that parking lot”
