Since IMDB shut up shop, I've really missed discussing these films and others from my childhood. No-one's posted here yet but hopefully, in time we can get a decent community going, where these works of art can be appreciated.

This was the first movie that gave me a wow reaction at the theaters. When Talos came to life and turned his head toward Hercules, my eyes grew wide and I was glued to my seat for the rest of the movie.
There's a decent Harryhausen group on Facebook.

I love Harryhausen's stuff! I rode in an elevator with him once. Had a fangirl moment.

I too am disappointed that this website is staying so quiet. I was hoping the more vocal IMDBers would be heading over here in droves after the message board shutdown, but I guess there's no way to fight the power of Amazon at this point.
But yes, the Talos scene scared THE HELL out of me as a kid when he turned his head. The film literally had me at its mercy for the next few minutes. When the terrified sailors attempted to row away from him, I was scared shitless that he was going to go in and kill them all.
Funny conjecture, but has anyone thought what would happen had they successfully backwatered the Argo before reaching Talos's grasp and just circled around inside the bay waiting for him to leave? Would he have just sat there watching them, circled around trying to reach them, or gone in after them?

It’s free to watch streaming with ads on Crackle.com. Great film, Talos and obivously the skeletons are highlights. Too bad the sequel was never made.

Talos struck me as a patient individual. He could definitely out wait them.
