Incredibly bad goofy opening

I recently watched this for the first time so I could be fully prepared to be let down by the new Spider Man movie bringing back the other Spider men for what will inevitably be two minute cameos...
However I was amazed at just how bad the opening to this film was and the jarring goofy tone in comparison to the first "Amazing" Spiderman film - it was literally like watch two completely different films!
It actually reminded me of the opening of Superman 4: The Quest for Peace, having a similar low quality feel compared with what came before...

The film is far from great but after the dreary nothingness of it's predecessor, it's goofy tone can jar me all it likes. That tone stood out. It was something, gave it some kind of identity. It was also a vast improvement simply because it told it's own story rather than just repeat the same origin story we'd already seen just several years earlier.
I say "vast" but that vastness still renders it no more than a 3 out of 5. But I do give it credit for being different.
