Nachdem der frühere CIA-Topagent Bryan Mills im ersten Teil seine Tochter Kim in Eigenregie aus den Klauen eines osteuropäischen Mädchenhändlerrings befreit hatte, braucht er diesmal selber Hilfe. Einem Vater der damaligen Kidnapper gefiel Mills Aufräumaktion so gar nicht, weshalb er den mit seiner Frau Leonore im Urlaub in Istanbul weilenden Ex-Agenten kurzerhand als Geisel nimmt. Mit Hilfe seiner Tochter gelingt es Mills, den Spieß umzudrehen und seine Familie in Sicherheit zu bringen. Auch dieses Mal springt der ehemalige Topagent dabei nicht gerade zimperlich mit seinen Widersachern um.

Claudy, der Junkie, der ausgerechnet jetzt von der Droge loskommen will, der sich an Lorna klammert, der ihre Hilfe braucht, um ins Leben zurück zu finden. Der jederzeit an einer Überdosis sterben könnte. Fabio drängt, sein russischer Kunde lässt sich nicht vertrösten. Lorna sucht nach einem Ausweg, der alle Interessen zufriedenstellen könnte.

Als eines Tages Nenads Großvater stirbt, unternimmt der junge Christ eine riskante Reise hinter die feindlichen Linien und schließt Freundschaft mit den Muslimen. Denn ausgerechnet bei ihnen hat er die Möglichkeit, seinem Opa eine angemessene Bestattung zu organisieren.

Anatema beruht auf einer wahren Begebenheit und handelt von dem verzweifelten Kampf der Journalistin Emma Berisha um ihre Tochter. Als die serbischen Truppen einmarschieren, flieht sie nicht mit den Amerikanern, sondern bleibt bei ihrem Verlobten Edi. Die Bevölkerung wird gnadenlos verfolgt. Emma und Edi versuchen zu fliehen, doch Emma wird von serbischen Soldaten vergewaltigt und mit anderen Frauen verschleppt, Edi in ein serbisches Gefängnis gebracht. Nach dem Krieg kehrt Emma in ihre zerstörte Heimat zurück und bringt Ana zur Welt. Allein, auf sich gestellt mit einem Kind, das viele verabscheuen, und ohne Geld gibt sie ihre Tochter vorübergehend in ein Waisenhaus. Das wird jedoch bald geschlossen und Emma muss ihr Leben riskieren, um ihre Tochter wieder zu finden.

The documentary describes the situation, first in a short overview of the history of the area, followed by the 1990s conflicts and bombing of Serbia by NATO forces in 1999 and ending with the situation after the Kosovo War. The documentary focuses on the 1990s in the time of Slobodan Milošević's rule as well as on numerous interviews of Serbian civilians and, less, of Albanian insurgents against the Milošević regime.

He dies near of a cliff at the Black Sea coast. In his native village, the news that Sokol has been returned from emigration are being spread.

Curious about the bodies Zeka invites him to sleep over. The night falls down along with the demons that will push Zeka into madness and make him a killer. Alienated from all the world he continues to wait for his dead son while his young daughter waits for him to be her father again.

No one knows why for certain, but from 1968 to 1973 communist Albania enjoyed a brief liberalisation in the arts. Banned books and Beatles records changed hands. Albania’s Nobel-nominated novelist Ismail Kadare wrote two of his most famed masterpieces, Kështjella (The Castle) (1970) and Kronikë në gur (Chronicle in Stone) (1971) during this period. The rock'n'roll and jazz arrangements featured in this concert documentary were the pretext that brought about the end to the artistic thaw. Several performers seen in the festival were sent to prison or internal exile. The portly, smiling music conductor, Gasper Çurçia, was later accused of forging bus tickets and executed.
