Gegen ihn arbeitet der Wissenschaftler Ted Erickson, der Lombardi entlarven will, just als dieser in seiner Show den Tod zweier Menschen durch die Klauen eines kambrischen Seemonsters ankündigt. Tatsächlich geschieht so, wie Lombardi es geheißen und als der Mystiker am Tatort gesehen wird, läßt Erickson ihn verhaften, doch die Beweise fehlen. Während Ericksen von Andrea mehr als beeindruckt ist, sucht sein Schwiegervater in spe Lombardis Nähe, um mit ihm das ganz große Geschäft aufzuziehen...
