Pretending gratitude, Virginia approaches Henrique and, when her uncle takes her out of town, to get away from "bad company", she tells Henrique her plan: murder her uncle to keep his fortune. Henrique gets involved by the girl, not knowing that she, in fact, intends to blackmail him.
