I approve of the winner, too. I like this show a lot more than Project Runway, which always skewed too female for me, and anyway had become stale. I like that almost every episode in NIF includes male clothing. It feels like a refreshing reboot of the format, without leaning too much on gimmicks, which I appreciate--it would have been easy to get lazy with it but the producers very consciously decided not to. It's a very well executed show. I hope it gets another season.

The show has been canceled. Personally, I would have liked it more if it didn't feature the teams for most of the season.

That's a shame but I'm not surprised. No one was talking about it, and chatter is usually a good indication of whether something will be renewed. I absolutely would have watched another season but I guess it was too niche. On the other hand, Netflix did virtually zero marketing for it.
