I think what the person who added that was trying to do is to represent various eventual reunion movies. If so, those should have been added as Specials, if I'm not mistaken, since they weren't part of any season(s).

According to Wikipedia:

Eight Rockford Files reunion TV movies were made from 1994 to 1999, airing on the CBS network (whereas the original series aired on NBC)....//The movies picked up nearly 15 years later from where the show ended....

You'll see that, meanwhile, Season 6 https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/954-the-rockford-files/season/6 is messed up, as it mixes 1980 with 1998. Again, it appears to have likely been (beyond the correct listed 1980 episodes) someone's attempt to represent reunion movies that were subsequent to the original series.
