Discuss Succession

Since a great part of this shark opera seems to be about pushing, episode after episode, the limits of how odious (rich & powerful) people can be, I just came up with this childish thread.

Tough call. Not Kendall, given his complex with his father. Not Roman, solely for the memorable scene when he's watching his billions dollar rocket toy go bang. Not Logan, given his blooming senility. Not Marcia, her French can be excused. I might go for Connor, the oldest brother, thinking he's the Saviour of the Earth just because he invested in a couple of thousands of acres of forest while fooling around in his big swimming pool in the middle of the desert. Or Tom for using his self consciousness as an excuse to trample on his modest roots and friends. Or Shiv for jeopardizing the advent of Socialism when she joins Gil's team.

I know this thread is old but I'm excited for the new season. None of the main characters are likeable. I think that's why I have a hard time convincing my friends to watch the show. So I think right now the least abhorrent characters are Gerri and Paul (even though Paul is slimly he's likeable. And always eating). I really wanted to be on team Shiv but she's a jerk too. Lol

everybody talks like they're constipated. a lot of "uh..", "umm...", long pauses between sentences/words. if bbc or the guardian don't recommend it, i would've not watched the show :) are rich people so absent-minded and unable to articulate themselves coherently like the roys? not to mention the camera movement, which makes me sick

i think roman is my fave character. everything is handed to him on the silver platter, yet he managed to eff everything up and blame others for that. just like me :)

I think the 'constipated' talking and camera movement make it more realistic. Like OP said, it was meant to be a shark opera.
