Runtime for TV entries is the general duration of one episode. Not cumulative.

Then could you just add all the episodes individually to have a correct runtime?

No. Why would we add duplicate content? Currently it's more or less an approximation. There's a planned feature for episodes to have individual assigned runtimes.
