Adam can't stop being overprotective when Kate is asked out on her first date; Lowell helps Don buy an anniversary gift for Marcy.

When Adam and Andi borrow money from Joe to help with a cash flow problem, they soon regret it.

Adam and Andi try to get back in their neighbors' good graces after no one shows up to their potluck.

Adam is forced to bring the kids along to work while he has an important work meeting planned with his boss. It is not until later he discovers that the kids have lice which causes a series of other issues. Meanwhile Andi is upset at the idea that she's a bad mother since she is the only one that doesn't get lice.

Adam is thrilled and honored to help Joe buy a new car but is caught off guard when Joe suddenly becomes irritable and the negotiations go off track. Also, Andi discovers Emme has been hiding a pet snake and has to figure out a way to get rid of it.

Adam and the guys visit Lowell at his new bachelor pad and start using it as a hangout to get away from their home lives for a bit. Also, Andi keeps pushing Adam to finally give her her own desk at the office.

Adam discovers someone is sneaking his boat out at night, and he assumes the culprits are Don and Joe. Also, after Andi makes Kate get a job at the mall, Kate decides she no longer wants to go to college.
