While I wasn't loving season 2, the sudden addition of a narrator--in annoyingly accented voices--confirmed the ruin that was to be Season 2. I hadn't watched any of this series out of respect for the film (which was GREAT), but I kept hearing how awesome it was. Season 1? Yes, it was fantastic. S2? Not so much. I'm afraid to venture into S3, as all hope may be dashed. What a shame.

I wasn't a fan of season 2. Yet that season gets a lot of praise, which baffles me. I stopped watching it before episode 8. Season 3 was a lot better, don't let it put you off.

Thanks for the feedback/encouragement. I do take it under advisement!
