Extra Details: Season 2 should only have 24 episodes, ending with s02e24 - Petula Clark. Someone added additional episodes from the beginning of season 3 to the end of the season 2 list. Season 3 should also contain a total of 24 episodes. Will someone fix this? Thanks!

As explained in the last message of this previous report, ITV has officially started the 3rd season on November 17, 1978.

Of course wiki isn’t but the official season 3 disc set is and it has 24 episodes. Also justwatch.com, IMDB, and Fandom.com all list the same 24 episodes. So it would appear that ITV has made a mistake, especially if The Muppet Show season 3 disc set contains 24 episodes.

Because, as per our rules, we always list the seasons as per the original broadcast and not as per the production.
The original broadcast has been done by ITV, so the correct informations for our site are the ITV informations.

Just trying to understand then why Disney plus (the owners of the Muppets franchise), the season 3 disc set contain 24 episodes and every other website other than ITV. If there weren’t 24 episodes they would not be on the discs or listed on Disney plus.

Also the air dates for these 24 episodes is from September 1978 to July 1979. Season 4 does not start until September 1979.
