A história se passa em um mundo estranho onde duas ilhas chamadas Yulgaha e Yanuess se movam lentamente através do céu, acima da terra. Os povos na terra chamam-nas de “Edens”, e elas controlam toda a terra. Um menino, Yorn, nasceu em Yulgaha, mas na infância foi separado de sua mãe e trazido para viver na superfície. Embora o pai adotivo fosse pobre, Yorn tornou-se um rapaz brilhante e feliz. Um dia, dois assassinos aparecem na cidade à procura de Yorn, dizendo que ele é o último de uma grande linhagem de Caçadores de Deuses, é aí que seus problemas começam.
