Someone must have thought it was romantic or that the obvious chemistry between the actors would make it OK. I for one fell for the fantasy and soon forgot that Aria was a minor. Maybe I am just a chump or it is human nature to hope that two people even fictional characters that declare they are in love will get a chance to be together.

But it's not two people- it's a teenager, and her teacher!
