Tom and The Mayor are worried about the safety of Jefferton's children, so they decide to buy thousands of Bear Traps to place all around the city to keep strangers away from the children.

Tom gets hired as the Mayor's PR man just as the Mayor is involved in a scandal resulting from a sex tape he made with popular musician Roy Teppert. To renew himself, the mayor drags along Tom and Shamus, a little deaf singing boy, on a hot air balloon trip.

Tom opens a store called My Big Cups. The Mayor commissions Tom to do a macaroni painting for Jefferton's 30th anniversary.

Tom takes a job as CEO of the Jefferton Department of Special Projects.
