Shatner on “The Weather Channel”
Saw Bill in this Medicare Coverage Helpline TV Commercial. Seems it has been out a minute; but just saw it yesterday.
Anyway...
Makes you kinda . Why would a person who everyone knows is “worth his weight” stoop to doing a “how-to-get-an-extra-$100-a-month-added-to-your-Social-Security-check infomercial that makes him look like a grubby sideshow pitchman?
Credibility.

But $100 can make a significant difference for a lot of elderly/retired people. Especially in these days of Biden Inflation.

Wasn't it awesome that William Shatner got to boldly go where no 90 year old Canadian actor has gone before?

As a fan of the actor, I’m glad they have “cleaned up” those ads. Now viewers don’t have to be able to read at-the-speed of light, or have Superman’s vision to see that it’s a private, for profit, enterprise, and not affiliated with any government agency or program. Also, they’ve put in “qualifiers” to go along with all those get-what-you-are-entitled-to pronouncements they make. Someone must have sued (or threaten to sue) somebody?
Still, seeing someone worth nearly a half billion dollars waxing enthusiastically about the possibility of adding $100 (now $144) a month to their SS check IS kinda .

I have to admit a couple of those ads Shatner has done since Leonard Nimoy died was creepy.

William Shatner on "Young Sheldon", (S5E12).
Young Sheldon is watching a TV show, and up pops a small piece from one of Shatner's most iconic (read, overacted) scenes.

William Shatner with the series "The UnXplained" on “HISTORY” (formerly The History Channel).
"The UnXplained (2919- ) is a non-fiction series on HISTORY that looks at subjects that have mystified mankind for centuries. The show is hosted and executive produced by William Shatner."
Even though I tend to watch bits and pieces of such shows from time to time, I think it’s wrong to call one a “Documentary”. A more apt name probably would be a “Choreomentary”…as in choreographed facts. Yes, the facts maybe there; but it’s “the interpretation” of those facts that sometimes leave me .
Anyway...
It has made it thru S3 and judging by the ratings (on you know where) it definitely has its fans.

Deforest Kelley on “Laramie” (S4E12).
Just happened to run across this episode where he played “Bart”, the third member of a team of outlaws. Had to when I heard his character’s name, since it’s a well-used, generic handle for doers-of-dastardly-deeds in westerns. Even though I know career-wise he is no stranger to six-shooters and cowboy hats… still seems strange. (Couldn’t find a clip.)

Thanks.
Too bad "Oaters" no longer hold sway the way they once did.

Fortunately there are many old westerns that you can still watch. Some even have (guest) actors from Star Trek appearing in them.
George Takei, Julie Newmar, Carel Struycken, Meg Foster, Musetta Vander, Jimmie F. Skaggs and Mike Genovese in "Oblivion (aka Alien Desperados, aka Desperados & Aliens) (1994)":
