Dodson was featured in Flare Magazine's 30th Anniversary issue as one of "the hottest names to know in Canadian music" and her voice has been described by NME as "a young Madonna meets modern electro". Over the past ten years, she has written and produced three full length albums for Parallels, and has co-written with artists including Futurecop!, Adrian X (Drake, Kylie Minogue), Bill Bell (Jason Mraz, Tom Cochrane), Robyn Dell'Unto, Nick Henriques (Loud Luxury) and Morgan Willis.
