Discuss Rescue Dawn

For me instant classic also thanks to amazing soundtrack I was enjoying during my travels around Asia, hard to imagine how moved you can be listening this while walking in War museum in Saigon, especially on the floor about journalists. :(

It's a fascinating film indeed! Herzog always has a way of handling music effectively.

What's I especially like about the film is the eye for details. Whereas in other films certain things just work, here it is explained exactly why they work.

Example (possible spoiler):

Dieter Dengler not only opens handcuffs with a pin, he explains the mechanics of the cuffs and why it is even possible to open them with the pin in the first place.

well Herzog sure has his own style and i found this to be maybe his most conservative movie, didn't really like his other movies, he is actually quite shallow just pushing his agenda without trying to show the truth

It's a pretty good film. The ending is pretty corny, but I still shed a tear at it all the same. I wouldn't eat maggots for any movie role, no matter how much money someone dangled in front of me.
