When Vincent's stepdaughter tried to commit suicide Vincent says "I think she cut both arteries" there was blood on her leg so I am assuming he meant the femoral artery. This being the case how did she survive for at least 10/15 minutes before he got her to the hospital - how was her mother already there (I assume we can presume he phoned her though) and lastly how did the stepdaughter know where he was staying - and how did she get into the room? I still enjoy this film - but I would have preferred it if De Niro had survived !!

His death at the end was handled poorly, I thought. Just didn't make sense. Maybe they didn't have enough time to finish up the script, and just wanted to tie it off quickly.

I never thought it was a poorly handled, rushed or ill-considered ending — his death fitted as an inevitable consequence of the choice he made late on. I think the interesting thing is how much empathy there seems to be from Hanna towards McCauley, and it almost seems accepted between them that Hanna would allow Neil to "never [go] back". I loved it, I think it's an amazing film.

They set up his death in the early narrative with the "30 seconds" stuff mentioned multiple times. He decided to ultimately not walk away in 30 seconds and lost everything. In essence, he did have "born to lose" tattooed on his chest.
