Might as well be this one because there will definitely be movies a lot worse than this released this year. A somewhat interesting premise that rather rapidly fizzles into a 90+ minute yawn fest. A bit reminiscent of that movie "Mine" (2016) where a soldier is standing on top of a mine in the desert and has to survive. Well, no mines here, but most of the movie is Zac Efron surviving in the desert. That is also where the movie starts to go south rather fast. It just isn't interesting to watch. In fact it becomes rather annoying watching him as this is one of those movies where actions of the lead character don't make a lick of sense. The premise is that he is left in the desert with a really limited water and food supply. Despite this most of the time they show him physically exerting him in the desert doing all kinds of stupid things and most of the time without even covering his head or anything despite him obviously sporting a baseball cap earlier. Then we have the scene where it all of sudden just jumps into him wandering in the desert with a torch in his hand around jackals or hyenas or whatever. Why is he wandering there in the middle of the night now? Why is that scene even in the movie because it ends as quickly as it started despite the fact that they portray him surrounded by those predators and then nothing happens.
