Transfixed! Was glued to the screen from that first shot...

I watched this film having no idea about the story, I had only heard that Spike Lee was making an American adaptation of it.

Intense film. Loved some of the shots from the balletic fight scenes to more quiet, intimate moments.

I prefer the original film. Although I will say that I admire actress Ilfenesh Hedera, who bears a resemblance to the late Aaliyah. When Brolin put his hand on her leg in that restaurant, the hairs on my arm stood up.

I also watched this film knowing absolutely nothing, and whenever I recommend it to anyone, I tell them they have to do the same!
