There was once, in 1910, a train able to cross the wild territories between Argentina and Chile, making possible a mythical journey, joining two oceans with a single ticket, from Buenos Aires to Valparaiso. The last trip of the BAP was in 1979; in the nineties, its various branches were permanently abandoned. Since then, travelers have been inhabiting the railway landscape as they dream, desire, remember or yearn: as part of their own being and national history.

Hubo una vez, en 1910, un tren capaz de cruzar los agrestes territorios entre Argentina y Chile, haciendo posible un viaje mítico, uniendo dos océanos con un solo billete, de Buenos Aires a Valparaíso. El último viaje del BAP fue en 1979; en los años noventa, sus diversos ramales fueron abandonados permanentemente. Desde entonces, los que fueron viajeros habitan el paisaje ferroviario como sueñan, desean, recuerdan o anhelan: como parte de su propio ser y de su historia nacional.
