Judging the film before seeing it, you do realize there is hype surrounding the film unlike 2016.

I think the trailers looked promising. It doesn't look/feel like it's trying to be Ghostbusters, but that's good. It won't draw immediate comparison. And I like that it's a sequel, not a remake.

Sometimes it's best not to try.
It's the passing of the torch sequel like Extreme Ghostbusters that fans wanted years ago.
Because they waited so long to make another movie Ramis is no longer around, the other guys are too old, a new movie needed to be a new invention with new characters and the filmmakers knew it.
