Discuss The Commuter

So how did she know everything that happened on the train if she wasn't on it and the mobile reception was so patchy - she knew everything immediately. And how did the FBI agents know that his family were under threat at that exact time when he had only told his friend and his friend was a baddy? How did he know she would be on that train (at the end) at that time and how does a 60 year old get an active job in the police force? I don't know why Sam Neill was in this - he had about six lines of dialogue and a very embarrassed expression.

You're not alone. I get it that this sort of thriller is often a matter of enjoying the thrills and spills and not thinking too hard but this story made no sense at all. It made Speed look clever.
