Limited release means I had to search pretty hard to find a screening, but it was definitely worth it. Great film, very funny. It took me maybe 15-20 minutes to really get on board with the humour, but once the film settled into its pacing and plot it rattled along with a really high gag rate.

Looking forward to seeing this!
I see Netflix secured the non-UK rights so if anyone's reading this and not from the UK you should be able to check this out right now...

I was disappointed by the film. It should had been funnier.

I laughed twice... I say laugh, I probably smiled a bit. On the inside.

Not good for a comedy.

Like you said, it should've been funnier. But it was dogshit.

Millions of people like Miley Cyrus... So what?

So it's inarguable that people enjoy it, whether you do or not. I don't like Miley Cyrus, but I'd never argue she isn't popular, and she's popular because people like her. If people are rating this highly it's because the majority think it's doing something right. Ergo, you can have your opinion, but you can't say it's unfunny or dogshit, because that's demonstrably not the public consensus.

All I did was offer my opinion of it - I never said nobody else is allowed to find it funny... And the numbers you pulled out just proves that the majority likes dogshit, something I'd have to agree with you on there!

Surprisingly, I really enjoyed this film as well. I wanted to see something not mainstream, but still worthy of a few laughs and that is what I got out of this film. I doubt that it would make a cult comedy classic, more than likely, t's a guilty pleasure, but the writing itself was decent enough for me too re-watch this film and add it to my DVD collection. Clive was my favorite character. He delivered some very clever insults. I also liked the way Paul reacted when Richard told him the truth about his real identity. lol! Wasn't expecting that reaction at all.

I think that if a movie isn't packaged a certain way, the majority tend to shun it. This film had a lot of creativity and some very clever jokes. You had to understand the joke though. It has style of its own. I liked that a lot. Also, it followed a formula, yet wasn't as predictable as I expected it too. Was it one of the years best comedies? No. Is it trendy? Probably not. But it wasn't an awful movie either. Your opinion is totally subjective and depends on your tastes.

The thing is, I went in wanting to enjoy it but I just felt like there was nothing new here... "Come alone." "I always do." That was about as funny as it got for me... a juvenile double-entendre gag about wanking... Maybe it's just me...

Finally got around to seeing this. I agree with the OP re the humour and pacing, not too bad at all - I'd say a solid 2 maybe 2.5 stars, worth watching...
