Only around 5-6 times, for some reason. Hm, I want to watch it again now. Maybe tonite ;)
For awhile, I think it was Starz showing it frequently. Every time it came on, I felt a little spoiled. Then, they stopped and awhile later, I saw it on Syfy (I believe).
I've watched it maybe a dozen times, but I've watched Aliens and Prometheus more.
Prometheus more? I didn't like it - until I read someone theorizing that all evidence points to Predators being the ones that wiped out the Engineers - that's what made it even remotely interesting to me. Have you heard of this, or can you go through your recollection of the movie and see it?
the article you linked doesn't mention Predators...
Everything I've read about Prometheus that mentioned Predators claimed that Predators weren't actually part of the Alien Universe, that the AvP movies were not canon. They were done because many of the fans of the series were asking for them to meet in the movies (and to make a few dollars, no doubt), but they were being ignored by the makers of the Alien and Predators series.

Yeah, I get the "not canon" thing. But then, there's all kinds of debate as to whether the franchise should be more like Alien or Aliens so, even within the canon, there is diversity regarding the nature of the franchise.
At any rate, the evidence in Prometheus fits Predator M.O. very well, canon notwithstanding.
I remember I bought a ticket for it at the little 2 screen theater we had in town at 13 cause I already had a beard and let my baby faced friends in the back door lol
I have lost count of how many times I have seen it, I think I have seen Aliens more though
Not as many as I should, a good 20 times or so I reckon. It's one of those films I revisit every year but only usually once. And I fall in love with it again everytime and think ' I should watch this more'
I do not usually watch movies more than once, very rarely more than a few times. I have probably watched this between 5-10 times, mostly in theaters. Needless to say, it's a great movie.

I caught quite a bit of Alien in an actual theater once. It was badass!!!!
Have seen this about half-a-dozen times over the last 10 years or so.
It's a very enjoyable film overall, but it doesn't quite grab me to the point of wanting to watch it on a more regular basis. And in some respects watching it after a couple of years break makes the film far more tense and interesting.
10 - 15 times I'd say.
Right from the opening credits when the title gradually forms on the screen accompanied by that simple but eerie score you know you're in for something special.
(RIP John Hurt)
Indeed, RIP Mr. Hurt, and Mr. Stanton too. Ian Holm just recently died, too, at this rate Sigourney's gonna be the only alum of this bad boy standing in a week or so....
I had noted over the years that the cast were leaving us in the order that they did in the film, so Tom Skerritt's probably breathing a sigh of relief.

Definitely more than 50. Every single year I re-watch the Alien series a few times. This is my all-time favorite movie franchise

Once. Today May 11, 2018. It was the director's cut.
This movie is incredibly stupid and incredibly boring. There is no reason to ever watch it again.

I would say it's got to be around 20 times. I must have been about 10 when I first saw it, having seen Aliens first.
