Hi, there are two reasons for not having music as a genre here. First, the main genre is musical (not music) and that's a genre we don't have. Instead we have the keyword musical. Second, we try to keep it to at the very most three genres per movie. So, with the musical genre already covered as a keyword I think it makes the most sense to stay with the current genres. Removing comedy makes no sense at all as that is the one genre (together with musical) that all sources I checked agree upon.

Many other "musicals" such as Disney movies still have the genre of music and are not a music movie. But "La La Land" is all about "jazz music" and "musicians". The genre of music is more appropriate here. Please add the genre music again. Thank you.

Incorrect data should never be an argument for adding even more incorrect data. Those will eventually be fixed, but it's not a high priority for me.

I agree that I think this movie should be added to the music genre, not just because it's a musical, since apparently that's not what the music genre is for, but it is primarily about music and musicians! In that case, Damien Chazelle's other film Whiplash should also be added to the music genre.

I think the issue is TMDb still does not have the Musical genre.
There is a good chance we will have it in the future. Missing is time to implement.
