I have mostly shied away from these old horror classic remakes but let's be honest, most of them suck. So I went into this not expecting much and in that respect I was not disappointed. But I wasn't prepared for how just boring the movie was going to be. It took me like 5 tries before I finally completed watching it. What this means is I'll start the film and get about 20 minutes into it and I will stop the film to go something more interesting like clean my windows. Then a day or so later, I'll come back and get another 30 minutes done. Suffice it to say, a decent flick only takes one sitting. This one took me five. Although I have to say that the final scene was pretty good. How he sticks the finger knives through Nancy mother's head was pretty good. I like Jackie Earl Haley but his Freddy was terrible. I liked the old goofy Freddy much better.

Was that the chick that looked like she was 30 years old playing a high school student?

Actually the Quentin character looked to be high school age.
