Discuss Wild

I thought, "how could they make a movie from a book that was more internal?" but it was actually nice to see a visual of all that Cheryl went thru. Overall I think this was a very good adaptation.

I haven't read the book, but the film was well done. Is the book worth reading as a novel, or is it mainly an introspective self help type thing?

I would say to read the book. I thought, "how could someone make a memoir of walking?" but I did think it was a good read. I can understand that it could be inspirational to some.

It's always tricky to make an internal story interesting in a visual medium like a film. Not so interested in the getting over addiction type stories but this was all right. Have you seen Into the Wild. Also from a book with a very internal story about a kid who walks around. Thought there is a lot more they could have said but decent enough.
