Any girl leaving early must check out with their finger and leave a bye bye slip. I've seen the movie in excess of 50 times and I still don't understand the hidden meaning of this line (or the writing on the sign)

For one, it set up Rose McGowan's funny line about giving the manager the finger and taking some money as a bye bye slip.

Well yeah I guess you could look at it that way. However, I would like to think that there was some other reason for it. Maybe Mr Rodriguez will pipe in?

Pretty obviously it means if you're leaving early, you're leaving for good...

Not so obvious. I would have written the sign to say 'If you leave early make sure your station is cleaned out for your replacement ' but I guess that's why I'm not making movies :)
