In the midst of the labyrinthine double dealing, hilarious misunderstandings, moments of violence, and uncomfortable family histories, we have a sweet bromance between Gerard Butler and Tom Hardy.
They both need to overcome their homophobic natures to reach a deeper friendship. Good stuff that probably made some viewers uncomfortable.
I will rewatch it just for that. (And to unravel the complicated plot.)

I dont think it made the viewers uncomfortable as much as it made the viewers laugh. It was played up for laughs and executed flawlessly. It was def a Guy Ritchie film and we should all know what to expect from him now. Plus the soundtrack was awesome!

I'm sure it made many viewers laugh, but this movie was not as well received as Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels or Snatch. Some imbd reviewers seemed offended by the gay scenes.
I thought it was great that Gerard Butler's character, who is supposedly Handsome Bob's best friend, is the only one in the gang who doesn't know his buddy is gay. And he's deeply uncomfortable about the fact that he showed him a good time before he supposedly went to jail. Idris Elba was totally blasé about the whole situation. He thought it was just fine.
Hilarious.

I personally liked this one more than the other two. Honestly, I hated Snatch.

I hated this film. "Lucky painting?" What??? It's so nonsensical and pales in comparison to Snatch and Lock Stock.
