Discuss Star Trek

So I'm sure some have heard Quentin Tarantino would like to direct a Star Trek movie. He wrote a treatment for it, and that treatment has been turned into a script. I'm sure it's no way near completed but they have a draft out there. I know Tarantino doing a Star Trek film would be controversial considering his style compared to the style of Star Trek. But I feel like you gotta go ahead and let him do it. He's such a great filmmaker. With the right budget I'm sure it would be a hit.

After Tarantino though my suggestion to write and direct a Star Trek film would be Seth MacFarlane. He does a great job with The Orville and he's a fan of the franchise himself. Personally, I'm a fan of all his work. I feel like he would be an awesome choice to make a Star Trek film.

I'd love EITHER to tackle it, but WOW, that would be a polar difference in direction for sure given the type of films they make...both rely on dialogue, but in a different way.

As long as Kurtzman isnt involved it cant get any worse at least

As long as it includes Captain Kirk in a Marcellus Wallace getting raped type scene, I'm all in. Maybe have Spock come in and rescue him and ask if he is pretty fuckin' far from OK.
