Do you prefer this tone or the more goofy sequels ?

Friday definitely had some funny moments but was kinda still serious and dark. The sequels went for straight comedy, Which do you prefer ?

I definitely prefer the tone of the first film. I can't even get into the sequels, really.
My favorite scene in the original is when the father tells Craig that men fight with their fists, and all of the trigger-happy guys out here are "sissified."
That part is more serious than the rest of the movie. Also, very satisfying.

Yeah I love the tone in the first film. The next two Friday's are far too silly and over the top.
