The humiliation scene is absolutely heartbreaking. The scene where Quasimodo saves Esmeralda is incredible. Frollo is the creepiest, most disturbing villain to ever grace a G-rated film. I love how Hunchback tackles such dark subject matter.

I often see people complain about the gargoyles, but I don't have any issue with them. They are clearly in Quasi's imagination (they turn back to stone whenever other characters are around). He's been locked up in the cathedral all his life, so understandably, he befriended the inanimate objects around him. During "A Guy Like You," Quasi allows his imaginary friends to raise his hopes of romance up high, only to be immediately crushed after the song ends.
