Lotso is too similar to Stinky Pete.

Both of them start out like kindly elders, but then turn mean and hold the other toys captive once they try to leave.
Could the writers not come up with a more original villain for the third film? This always bugged me.

Except Stinky Pete did have some genuinely noble motivations- Lotso was purely evil
