I get the feeling he's a nice guy in real life. But the problem I have with those kinds of scenes is the way he smirks, it is just so ego-driven...a guy in high school, or in his 20s, might be that kind of cocky and still think he's god's gift to the universe...but for a guy in his mid-50s to act this way (even if the character is supposed to be a bit younger than Mathison is in real life) just seems ridiculous.

There is very little maturity with him in those types of scenes, and Carly being the type of gal who has seen and done it all by this point in her life, would hardly be impressed. He's just such a flat note character and Mathison's acting choices in the scenes leave a lot to be desired. He needs to flesh this character out more. He shouldn't be an overgrown jock, that's boring to watch.

oMg! I thought the same thing! Here he was all wet yet he had a towel wrapped around him. He didn't think to use the towel first?

So obvious what they were trying to achieve in the scene and achieving a laugh instead.

I know a lot of people don't care for him as Drew but if it keeps Carly away from Sonny, then good. Just more FF material for me though.

Florida is in the same time zone as New York, yes? So why was Carly just getting up when people in Port Charles seemed like they were halfway through their day? Trina and Joss had already had a class at PCU before they stopped at Charlie's for something to eat.

Then we had Finn continuing a conversation with Alexis about Diane's recovery, which seemed to have started the night before.

And while we did not see Dex, it is still implied he's in the cooler...where he has been the whole night? The time elements for this episode didn't really jive.

Truthfully, with the way Dex was trying to escape when last seen, I think Sonny will open the cooler to find Dex gone ... as in escaped.

But that is not the point though. The point is Sonny left Dex in there for an unruly amount of time without even caring about what could have happened with him while 3 of his kids practically pleaded in Dex's defense. Someone should beat the living F out of Sonny for crap like that. I don't ever want to hear about him protecting his GD family ever again.

And it's sickening how Sonny will spin this ... "I was testing you!"

Clearly Sonny hasn't learned his lesson accusing people of wrongdoing based solely on "what he believes" and not on facts. Does AJ ring a bell?

I don't agree that Dex will escape on his own...you wanna know why? Because the main point of this subplot is not to show Sonny acting controlling, it is to contrive a way for Joss to come to Dex's rescue. The writers are interested in developing them as a couple.

Cameron Matheson can only play himself, which would be ok if his real self was entertaining like say a Jeff Goldblum or a Christopher Walken. Its not, though, he's basically a game show host without a game show.

I didn't even watch AMC and still never liked him. He was cringe with Eva Larue when they hosted things.

Ryan Lavery on AMC was Cameron Matheson IRL. Same goes for his version of Drew Cain.

Contrast this with Billy Miller who I have seen in 4 different roles EACH ONE was discernably different.

Why are we stuck with Mr. One Note?
