Different strokes. I happen to like it. And I doubt they would have given it a second season if no one was watching.

Keeping in mind, among other things, that at 10 episodes per season, this show will need 9 seasons to match the original. And it doesn't take nearly as many viewers to be a "hit" now. These mini-networks also get money to create agenda shows that don't have the viewership to keep them going in other circumstances.

Also, Robert McCall helped both men and women, and of all races/ethnicities. He also had blind and deaf clients. Robyn McCall seems to help only women, and from what I've seen mostly if not exclusively "women of color." That's a pretty narrow viewer demographic.

Well, I don't know about the viewer demographic but I'm an old white lady!

You'd think they would be at least as averse to the risk of failure.
