Rich heiress Mariya Vorontsova disappears in provincial Ozyorsk. The police suspect that her husband, businessman Mark Vorontsov, was involved in her disappearance. The police find a burial place with a woman's corpse and documents in the name of Mariya Vorontsova. Roman insists that the woman in the grave is not Mariya. DNA examination confirms this. Alina initiates a re-examination in an independent laboratory.
