Discuss Basilisk

Item: 甲贺忍法帖

Language: zh-CN

Type of Problem: Incorrect_content

Extra Details: In this page, the Season 1 and Season 2 was two different Japanese Anime, the Season 1 is: "Basilisk: Kôga ninpô chô" (バジリスク 〜甲賀忍法帖〜), IMDB link: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0856348 , the offical websit is: http://www.basilisk.jp/ this website is already closed, but still can be viewed in https://web.archive.org/web/20041207121659/http://www.basilisk.jp/ ; The Season 2 is: "Basilisk: Ouka Ninpouchou" (バジリスク 桜花忍法帖),IMDB link: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7848474/ , the offical website is: http://basilisk-ouka.jp. Except the story of the Season 2's is happend in ten years after the Season 1, whatever the story or the characters in the storys, the two series have totally no connection. The relationship like the "Game of Thrones" and "House of the Dragon", but the House of the Dragon's story is before the "Game of Thrones", not like these 2 Anime is after. pls separate it, thanks!

As per our anime rules, if 2 animes are sequels, they should be listed as 2 seasons in the same entry. This is the case here, so the listing is correct.

I quote : "Sequels series (i.e. a direct continuation of the story) are added within the same entry. When the episodes numbers are continuous, all episodes are added to the same season. When the episode count is restarted (i.e. the first episode is Episode 1), the new episodes are added as a new season."

Dragon Ball Z is the Dragon Ball's Sequels too, but in TMDB it still 2 anime. Rurouni Kenshin: Trust and Betrayal is Samurai X's prequel, Samurai X: Reflection is Samurai X's sequels, even they have the same characters and same voise actors, they still 3 anime in TMDB, and there is a lot's of example I can tell you, like Gundam Series, Sakura Wars Series, etc. because all the fans who familiar the Japanese Anime all knows why they need be separate!

and in this case, what's the real means of sequels? This two anime is totally no connection, they really not the SEQUELS, whatever the years, the characters, the main characters even not kinship, and the voice actors, Even the authors of the two novels are not the same person! The "Basilisk: Kôga ninpô chô" (バジリスク 〜甲賀忍法帖〜)'s novel is written by Masaki Yamada(山田正紀), and the "Basilisk: Ouka Ninpouchou" (バジリスク 桜花忍法帖)'s novel is written by Futaro Yamada(山田風太郎), Their only connection is the both story between the Koga and Iga.

BTW, frankly if you not familiar the Japanese Anime, pls disscuss with the supervisor who familiar it, I believe you guys even if not in one company, or some of the administrator just part-time, at least you have the group could discuss things, all I want and wish is make the TMDB became the best Movie database in the world. pls!!!!
