The actress Javicia Leslie will play Ryan Wilder, who replaces Ruby Rose as the new Batwoman in season two.

"Batwoman premiered last fall as the first superhero series in television history to feature an avowed LGBTQ character as the central character. Following Rose’s departure, the producers vowed to cast another LGBTQ actor in the role."

She was watchable in God Friended Me, so I hope she does well in this.
It will be interesting to watch what the permanently outraged crew will have to say about this casting. Ruby Rose was vilified for not being gay enough as she's "only" bisexual, as Ms Leslie seems to be. OTH criticising a black person won't sit well. We may see some heads exploding over this conundrum.

Still on Season 1 and not seen Season 2 yet, but surprised that they've made the star wear a mask and fat suit because when she was in God Friended Me she was neither fat nor ugly. A quick Google finds plenty of shots of her looking pretty fine: https://i.redd.it/iu7nqe4fpot51.jpg

Michelle Pfeiffer played Batwoman? I know she played Cat woman. Anyway, the viewing numbers for this series has been steadily bottoming out and is now well below 500K viewers. Not only is it still on the air, it's been renewed for another season. We are clearly living in bizzaro world.
