It has been a long (long, long, long!) time since I've watched something that was so well crafted, deep and intellectually/culturally challenging. Art is not dead! Wow. Just profound. I almost bailed on this series, but this one will having me see them through to the end. And--shocker of shockers--I've been rating each episode and this is by far--BY FAR-- the best so far. I say "shocker of shockers" because when I went to rate it it is rated so much lower than the other ones (and I rated them lower than they had been rated by others). I don't get it. This is a 10++ for me. Simply a stunning and honest consideration of our tendencies!
Did anyone else think so? For the low ratings: why? I'm OK with it, but it truly don't get it! Great stuff!!

I don't know that I payed enough attention to the first couple of episodes to know why they were bad, but you could very well be right. Sadly, the lack of artfulness in art has become the standard rather than the exception. Perhaps it has always been that way, but all I do know is I thought this episode was amazing.
As to the ratings, the reason I asked was not because of the overall series ratings, but rather my own per episode ratings seem to run contrary to other's ratings. (I'm sure you know this, but you can see individual episode ratings by clicking on "Season 1" and expanding each episode. I haven't even rated the series yet.

Yes, so it is cyclical it seems. Or the oscillation of a pendulum. No matter, I'm glad to see some light breaking through!
