真代（中山美穗 饰）饰一名二十九岁的单身女子，在职场上，她担任的是系统工程师的重任，但在情场上，真代则是一名完完全全的失败者。一次偶然中，真代遇见了名为野上（金城武 饰）的异国男子，野上的英俊潇洒立刻吸引了真代的目光，真代将突然出现的他视作是自己命中注定的恋人。
