I just finished the second episode and I have no idea what to think of the show so far. It's bizarre and feels nothing like the novel. I'll give it a couple more episodes to see if I like it any better.
I thinks a little early to see where the show is going yet. Considering a different but still altogether brutal version of the history portrayed actually happened in our real history I wonder why some folks are so sensitive to seeing it portrayed? I have no issue seeing seeing white people as racists or anybody being portrayed as racist. It’s not saying I’m racist because I’m white. Just the characters are. I don’t take it as a comment on me, just what some people are capable of. If this stuff triggers you to be defensive so quickly you may want to reflect on why it did.
Yeah, I’m more invested after the 3rd episode for sure. Jean Smart? Is a great addition as an older Laurie.
**SPOILER*
I hope Don Johnson doesn’t go the way of Sean Bean and become stunt casting in shows to be quickly killed off...lol
I’ve been enjoying seeing him around more these days.

Well in the last two episodes he has been seen...…
The creator of Watchmen comic book is a far left anarchist!
Yeah but at least the book was better written. Also i don't see how this show connects to the book in anyway.
They used the giant squid in the HBO series, which was in the book only. The movie decided correctly that the squid was stupid.
Well since the Watchman was suppose to be a serious satire of Superheros. Especially DC Superhero, Im pretty sure the giant squid is suppose to be a play on Starro. The Gaint Star Fish that the Justice League battles time to time. Ill admit its a odd ending. But i really dont thinks that bad. I just think its lame to take a book that was about cold war paranoia and the frailty of humanity. And turn it into a boring story about white supremacy because Trump is in the white house. I really don't like the guy either. But come on.

Actually, the white supremacy parts was more about the Tulsa Race Massacre of 1921 that left 176 dead and 10,000 blacks homeless, which was still relevant as the Tulsa Race Riot was officially renamed the Tulsa Race Massacre last year (when the show was being planned/written) as well as the search for mass graves that began this year. They also go over the reparations to survivors and their descendants that was paid out in 2010. Trump had little to do with it. Obama could have still been president and they still would have went this route.
Fascinating the negative reaction to the racial issues in the show. Do some of you realize that this kind of shit (minus the mesmerism of course..lol) actually went on. So a little white guilt outrage on Twitter is white people under attack vs. being thought of as subhuman, attacked, raped and killed which was not uncommon events for blacks people in our history. I don’t carry around white guilt and don’t have a problem watching this stuff because I never did it and it is not far off from actual history. I’m not afraid to see how we were. We need to acknowledge history so we make a better future. I know, like a bad bumper sticker. If you get defensive about seeing folks your color being depicted as cruel, vicious, ignorant and racist. Is it because your seeing a reflection? What about the travesty of clone abuse in the show!!

Going from this post, you clearly suffer from some kind of white guilt. Pathetic.
Anyways the show is garbage, just give it a 1 and move on, everyone.

Yep the race-baiting is obvious, another political agenda garbage.

The third episode was pretty good. Some characters from the movie are showing up now.
