Agreed. I really liked the premier. It reminds me of my favorite shows from the '90's like Hercules and Xena and all the rest.

OK. Well two of my shows are cancelled so I need something else to watch. I will give this a try

Talon is sure a contrary one, full of angst and distrust. When the smith told her she was the only one who could send the demon back she spat back "I don't believe you". Damn!

The smith helped her, pulled the sword out and treated her wounds, and gave her the magic words which summoned the demon. She saw it appear out of nowhere after she spoke the words. So she knows all of this and still doesn't trust him? She experienced a terrible trauma when her village was massacred of course. But prior to that she had been raised by loving parents, surrounded by friends. She shouldn't be as paranoid as she acts; it shouldn't be so hard for her to trust someone who has only helped her. But I don't mean to sound critical of the story. I like the show.

It's getting more interesting now. She brought a demon into this dimension with some magic words. And now it is out there running around and it's going to kill someone soon. Maybe the smith can teach her more about her powers. Maybe she can direct the demon to do as she wishes. When she told it to leave it immediately did just that.

Now she has a new dilemma. The daughter gave her word and her bond for her. But she still has another person to kill apparently. And if she kills him at the outpost it spells the death of the daughter and herself as well.

I'm thinking maybe she can get the demon to do the killing for her. She just needs to learn to control it first.

Ever notice how many shows have monsters similar to the alien monster? I mean where that tube with teeth comes out of the person's mouth to bite people. It's like a mouth within a mouth, or a tongue with teeth and a throat. I think most people find it disgusting and scary so it has become a favorite monster for the writers. Frankly I think it shows a lack of creativity.
These changeling monsters on The Outpost have that same attribute.

I like a lot about this show. It is set in middle ages type times. It has a supernatural element to it. And it is set on the outskirts of civilization. I like all that about it.
