CHUNG, who is a merchant, is found killed in the suite of a hotel. He was strangled to death when he was in a comatose after being hit. He money has been taken away. CHUNG and his cousin LAM won six hundred thousand dollars from the horse race. He took the money to a ballroom alone as LAM had to go home for private business. There CHUNG wanted to hire JUDY to play SM with him but he was refused. BETTY states that JUDY did not go with CHUN. BETTY’s statement is further supported by her customer FAY. Thus JUDY is not regarded as the suspect of the case. CHIT visits a doctor from whom she learns a case of a poor baby girl. The baby girl is waiting for financial support to go overseas to receive proper treatment. CHIT reports her case and it draws public attention. An anonymous old man donates six hundred thousand dollars to support the baby girl.

The surgery is successful and the baby girl regains her healthy. CHIT has done much for her. CHIT is surprised to find that the baby girl's mother TUNG TUNG is BETTY. BETTY pays little attention to her baby. CHIT is discontented and always looks after the baby for BETTY. LIN is the owner of the hotel where CHUNG was killed. He is found dead in his house in Sheraton. He died after drinking poisonous milk. He has a complex family. CHU is the daughter given birth by his ex-wife. KWONG is his son-in-law and his nephew KAI is his wife WA's good friend. WA is much younger than LIN. CHU, KWONG, KAI and WA have different people to prove that they were not in the house when LIN was killed. The newspaper hawker reported that there was a mysterious lady wandering outside the house when LIN was killed. When the murder was committed, the rear door had not been locked. FAY works as a cook in LIN's hotel. He was introduced to the job by KAI. FAY's working attitude is poor. KAI and RAY have long not met each other. On the day when landslide affected Tuen Mun, they came across each other in a restaurant in Yuen Long, they did not greet each other.
