Discuss Missions

An incredibly naive, cheap production with a crude, confused story.

Bit harsh Jan. It has its problems: it's derivative; it doesn't go anywhere in the end and it takes a lot of detours getting there; and the budget limitations really do show. But I found it to be engaging nonetheless. I thought the characterisations were quite well done, which is rare for SF. I was interested in these people even if what they were doing and experiencing really did stretch credibility.

I wish more SF took risks and pushed the envelope. Isn't that what SF is supposed to do? Too often these days SF is just an action movie set in space or the future. With a bigger budget and better script editing this would probably have hit its objectives. But from me, kudos for having a genuine crack.
