Honestly, it has to be said. You'd think TPTB would have learned their lesson from the Grundy debacle that almost killed this show right out of the gate, but let me spell this out: Nobody wants to see a beloved teen icon explore her dark side by seducing unsuspecting adult men on the internet in a show that is actually watched by teen girls. That's not a teen fantasy. That's a perverted adult male fantasy and it makes the show look like its put out by a bunch of creepers.

Its especially creepy given that Betty and the gang are supposed to be high school sophomores, but that is typical CW. Cast actors way too old for their characters, give them storylines more appropriate for the age that they look, and market to the tween audience. I do like the show, but that dynamic is cringy. I felt the same way about Vampire Diaries, another show I liked, but too mature for the target audience.
