Discuss 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?

OK, can someone who has some knowledge about this please answer this question? So, Anfisa couldn't drive because she couldn't get a license because she didn't have her Green Card yet, right? So how is it possible for Mohamed to drive since we all KNOW he doesn't have his Green Card, and if Danielle has anything to do about it, he will never have his Green Card because she wants him deported.

Fiance Visas are national things, right? Not vary from state to state? So if that's the case, Mohamed should not be able to be driving a taxi/uber/whatever.

So if not having a Green Card doesn't prevent someone from driving, does that mean that's something else Jorge lied to Anfisa about? Seems like Jorge is majorly insecure and is looking for any possible way to keep her from leaving him and Anfisa is very naive by not doing any research on anything. He certainly shouldn't keep lying to her, but she needs to grow up and get some smarts and do some research on things. She also should have done a background check on him so she would truly know what she was getting into and not just go by his word alone.

I am pretty sure Mo has his green card.

Each state has its own requirements, so it's not all states that require a green card in order to get a license.

I love how some people think Anfisa is some naive chick. If she could drive, best believe, she would. Anyway, the requirements are different in states.

Naivete doesn't mean stupid. I never said she was stupid. Believe me, I know she's a very smart young lady. But considering she doesn't know the laws/etc. and was surprised to find out that she could be responsible for Jorge's debt, that shows her naivete over certain situations. I'm a very smart person, but I'm also in lots of areas very naive. One has nothing to do with the other.

Anyway, thank you for answering my question regarding whether it's the same nationally regarding Green Card status and driving or whether it is in fact different in different states.

@jonnieblack: Sorry, but if he had his green card, he wouldn't be so worried about being deported. He does not have his green card (at the point of the episodes we're seeing). Hence why I was wondering how he could drive if Anfisa couldn't.

@Satai Delenn Not trying to be argumentative, but as a point of clarification: Mo has his Green card. It came up last season on Happily Ever After. He left Danielle shortly after receiving the green card, that came right from her, on the show. I remember several of the couples saying it takes 6-9 months for an immigrant spouse of a US Citizen to obtain their green card. The Green Card does not guarantee that you will not be deported, it simply means that you are a legal resident of the US and can work legally. He actually has a Provisional Green Card, which I believe is good for two years. I could be wrong about that, but he definitely has his green card.

OK, I must have missed that episode where she stated that he has it. Thank you for the clarification. And yes, I know that people can still be deported even if they have a green card. It's just highly unlikely, except in a case like this where she is pushing to have their marriage annulled vs. them simply getting divorced.

Regardless though, him leaving her after getting the green card merely proves everyone's point that he used her (which was obvious from the beginning anyway), and he can claim whatever reasons he wants as to why he left her, and they may all be valid points, but they're in addition to him using her to get a green card so he could stay here. His mistake was leaving her immediately and not waiting a little while and filing for divorce. He could have cited irreconcilable differences and might have had better shot. As it stands now, his chances are slim on being able to stay. But no one ever claimed he was intelligent, lol.

Mo definitely didn't help his case, but neither has Danielle. He can legit claim that his life with her was hell. I believe that everything he says about her is true. Once he has his green card, he is entitled to due process under US law, unlike an illegal immigrant, so it does become hard to deport him. I think she said on the last episode that it takes years. I suppose most people just give up and let it go in order to move on. But our girl Dani is not most people joy

On an unrelated note, I wish this board would get better emojis.

I didn't say you called her stupid. I believe that some people give Anfisa a pass on a lot of things and assume she's some uninformed chick.

Believe me, I know she's a very smart young lady. But considering she doesn't know the laws/etc. and was surprised to find out that she could be responsible for Jorge's debt, that shows her naivete over certain situations.

Nope! You have to ask yourself, why was she investigating this in the first place? Would a naive girl do that? No, a naive girl would go down with the ship. Once Anfisa found out Jorge was broke, she ran to a lawyer. She didn't stay at home and hope it will all work out. No, she wanted to protect herself.

It's a smart thing, and I'm not mad at her for it. However, she is not naive, imo.

Anfisa is a lot of things, but she is no dummy. If online spoilers about her pornhub webcam girl act are true, she has probably had some run ins with the law.

Say what? I bet she lures her customers via IG. That's where she met Jorge. She might message them to her webcam. If that is true, she could probably make more money on a web cam. According to Jorge, he spent $70K on her. I'm sure if she could have made that amount of money on a webcam.

I saw that on a spoiler site. No idea how reliable. It said that Jorge saw her on a webcam site and not on Facebook as the show claims. I am inclined to believe that is how he became "obsessed" with her. Happens a lot with sexworkers. He seems just the type, too.

I'm not angry with her for going to a lawyer about it after finding out that he's broke either. She did the right thing. But it's still the fact that she did these things AFTER he finally told her that he has debt. If she were truly not naive, she would have done a background check on him BEFORE agreeing to marry him to ensure that what he told her about being a millionaire were true. But she didn't. She took him at his word. So that still shows naivete.

We have to consider the special factors, and the most important factor was that if Anfisa didn't hop on a plane, she would not have the opportunity to be famous. She has said this a couple of times; that she wants to be famous.

Doing a background check on Jorge would not show whether or not he is in debt, unless he had some judgments that he failed to pay. A typical search is a criminal background one. Still, it would not prove wealth.

Anfisa is bordering on lazy but not naive.

She had access to his phone, email, and I'm sure passwords. She should have checked to see his bank statements. Yet, Jorge could easily toss some money her way to shut her up, which he did. In a year's time, he shelled out $70k on her. That's a lot of money, especially to a poor 19 year-old in Russian, and he was spending more when she landed in the US.

Anfisa said she knew he wasn't uber rich, but she expected him to have money -- not be in debt. See, that's where the laziness on her part is, the expectation of him having some money.

Well, from all appearances, he had money and was not in debt. In a way, this was an alternative way of doing a credit check on Jorge. Obviously, it wasn't reliable, but Anfisa's smelled the sweet scent of fame. She couldn't resist nor delay this process.

Yeah, I forgot she said she wanted to be famous, lol. Which reminds me, whatever came of her so-called photo shoot? Nothing? Can't say that surprises me.

New season of Happily Ever After premieres on May 20. Buckle your seatbelts!

I was expecting something, since my Dvdr recorded the complete Mohamad and Danielle story.
